OUR HAIR EXTENSION METHODS
TAPE IN HAIR EXTENSIONS -
SEAMLESS HAIR EXTENSIONS & INVISIBLE TAPED HAIR EXTENSIONS
Tape In Hair Extensions are a newer technique of hair extensions. Strips of clear, double-sided keratin bond tape are attached to the strip of one side of approximately a 2-inch wide flat weft (please refer to the photo at the right). Tape In Hair Extensions are attached in a sandwiched-like method. A thin amount of the client's hair is sectioned off, and one Tape In Hair Extension is applied on the underside of this section of the client's hair (taped upward) and another Tape In Hair Extension is applied to the top part of the same section of the client's hair (taped downward). The two pieces of Tape In Hair Extensions are then gently attached with a special heating tool at the strips and then secured using a clamping tool. This hair extensions method can last up to 2 months. Tape In Hair Extensions are reusable, and if cared for correctly by the client, can be used several times for fresh applications.
Note - A full head application requires approximately 25-30 sandwiched pieces of Tape In Hair Extensions, depending on the thinness or thickness of the client's hair, the size of the head, and the length of hair the client desires to achieve. This process can take approximately 3-4 hours for a full head application, including a cut and style.
MICRO LINK HAIR EXTENSIONS -
MICROBEAD HAIR EXTENSIONS & ITIP HAIR EXTENSIONS
Micro Link Hair Extensions are individual hair extensions, also called Microbead Hair Extensions & ITip Hair Extensions. The tip of each Micro Link Hair Extensions looks similar to the end of a shoelace (please refer to the photo at the right). This hair extensions method does not require any heat to attach. Micro Link Hair Extensions are attached to a small section of the client's hair with the use of small silicone-lined aluminum cylinder or silicone-lined copper cylinder and then tightened to the client's hair with a specially designed clamping tool. Silicone-lined cylinders allow for a more secure attachment and help to protect the client's hair. The results can last 2-4 months depending on the client's hair type and how fast the client's hair grows. Micro Link Hair Extensions are reusable, and if cared for correctly by the client, can be used several times.
Note - A full head application can require anywhere from 120-250 Micro Link Hair Extensions, depending on the thinness or thickness of the client's hair, the size of the head, and the length of hair the client desires to achieve. This process can take 3-6hours for a full head application, along with a cut and style.
KERATIN BOND HAIR EXTENSIONS -
KERATIP HAIR EXTENSIONS & FUSION HAIR EXTENSIONS
Keratin Bond Hair Extensions are individual hair extensions that are applied in a strand by strand method. Keratin Bond Hair Extensions have a keratin bond that is attached to the tip of each hair extension (please refer to the photo at the right). The keratin bond is gently heated and then attached to a small section of the client's hair in a "twisting" motion. The results with Keratin Bond Hair Extensions can last up to 2-4 months, depending on the client's hair type/texture and how fast the client's hair grows. Keratin Bond Hair Extensions cannot be reused once removed, and new hair is used each time the client's application is redone.
Note - A full head application can require anywhere from 120-250 Keratin Bond Hair Extensions, depending on the thinness or thickness of the client's hair, the size of the head, and length of hair the client desires to achieve. This process can take 5-7 hours for a full head application, along with a cut and style.
HAND TIED HAIR EXTENSIONS -
ALLURING HAIR EXTENSIONS BRANDED TECHNIQUE, A BEADED & SEWN METHOD
Hand Tied Hair Extensions are the newest type of hair extensions method. Hand Tied Hair Extensions are wefts of hair that are made by hand. At Alluring Hair Extensions Atlanta we have branded our method, called "Mermaid Hand Tied Hair Extensions", a beaded and sewn method. With this method, the hair is parted in a row similar to the shape of a horseshoe. Silicone-lined cylinders are then attached to the client's hair and the hand tied wefts are then sewn around the cylinders. The silicone-lined cylinders used are the same cylinders used to attach Micro Link Hair Extensions. A client can go from shoulder-length hair to achieving very long hair with Mermaid Hand Tied Hair Extensions, thus the name "Mermaid Hair". This hair extensions method can last up to 2 months. Mermaid Hand Tied Hair Extensions are reusable, and if cared for correctly by the client, can be reused several times.
Note - A full head application requires approximately three rows of Mermaid Hand Tied Hair Extensions, with each row using approximately two hand tied wefts, depending on the thinness or thickness of the client's hair, the size of the head, and the length of hair the client desires to achieve. This process can take approximately 2 hours for a full head application, including a cut and style.
